AECO Innovation Lab is pleased to welcome the Ontario Structural Wood Association (OSWA) as a supporter of the One Ontario initiative.
OSWA is an industry collective of manufacturers, suppliers, engineers and designers in the structural wood industry. They promote the benefits of structural wood products for use in construction throughout Ontario, facilitated through an exchange of information with municipal building departments, design professionals and related construction stakeholders.
OSWA members are proponents and large suppliers of wood and wood based components in residential construction across Ontario with a growing role providing the same products for commercial, institutional and industrial projects. OSWA believes that the increased efficiency and streamlined processes created by the One Ontario program will enable faster construction and more building, which will in turn help their members grow and be a sustainable part of the Ontario economy.
They also view the One Ontario initiative as an important development that also supports the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s Forestry Strategy. That strategy includes supporting the increased use of Ontario wood in construction.
