We are committed to modernizing the real estate development process across Ontario by fostering transparency, accountability, and efficiency in policy formation and implementation.  

One Ontario is dedicated to addressing systemic inefficiencies within the development approval framework.

By leveraging advanced technologies, evidence-based research, and strategic partnerships, we seek to rectify disparities in housing availability and access.

One Ontario aims to ensure that legislative and regulatory frameworks are equitable and reflective of societal needs, thereby enhancing public trust in the development process. 

Key Mandates 

Government Collaboration

Serve as a consultative body for all levels of government—federal, provincial, regional, and municipal—to inform the development of policies that align with public interests and contemporary challenges. 

Conduct rigorous research and development initiatives that underpin the formulation of data-driven, forward-looking legislation. 

Industry Engagement 

Establish and sustain partnerships with leading professional organizations such as the Residential Construction Council of Ontario (RESCON) and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI). 

Advocate for the adoption of centralized systems to reduce redundancies in the development approval process and foster equitable opportunities for small and mid-sized developers. 

Academic Integration 

Collaborate with academic institutions to translate theoretical research into practical, actionable frameworks that enhance real estate operations. 

Provide expert advisory services to align academic innovations with real-world policy applications. 

Public Empowerment and Advocacy

Champion the principle of public ownership of data and advocate for open-data platforms to ensure equitable access to critical information. 

Simplify complex legislative and policy issues to educate and empower stakeholders, facilitating informed public participation in governance.
